I started a new day job which is totally killing me!

Running away from reality, and
sucked into to the black hole of inspirations at Pinterest,
I came across lots of patchwork patterns.

Whilst re-organizing my fabric stash during the New Year’s holiday,
I had lots of scrappy fabrics but not much amount of fabrics to make a quilt.  So I decided to dive into my scrappy bin and cut some strips and squares to make a scrappy patch block.

THEN… at Pinterest, I saw the cutest block,
the granny square block.

I fiddled around with the scraps I made, experimented, and made the  granny square block.   Turns out, that I wasn’t thinking much when I made those scrappy strips and squares for a bonus quilt.

And it hit me… to make a pin cushion.

Since I had already cut most of my scrappy stash really small, and that I also had kept the quilt batting scraps as well, hoping to use it someday for a small project.  And leftover 5″ charm pack fabrics lying around.

I am totally obsessed!
I can’t stop making these little granny square blocks!
Using strips, you can make 2 blocks at once!

I even played “etsy shop” and stamped some ribbon, initial “M” and a big strawberry.

I don’t want to go back to work!

Another day with WordPress…

Ok, so here I am, a-g-a-i-n, in front of the computer with WordPress.  I’m already behind schedule on the things To Do… (sigh)  And for today I needed to connect with the social medias.  (crossed out ones are done 🙂 )

  • Setup Twitter
  • Setup Pinterest
  • Setup Instagram

Left with Instragram.  phew.  Anyhoo, I’ve pasted my Tweeeeter tweets on my sidebar.  But I’m still working on Pinterest.  I just get carried away following other people’s pins!! (arr…)

And other things I must do are…

  • Play with photos for my Etsy shop
  • Enjoy crafting for myself, such as, patchwork & etc., etc. …
  • Watch Hulu
  • Make a list of crafty things I want to do or make for fun

I seriously need to crochet now.  I die if I don’t crochet once a day 🙂

And whilst I was doing this and that, I was also playing with an app on my iphone that turns a photo into a stamp-like picture?  Which is pretty neat!

And turned my granny square blanket into this.

And played around with it to make something like this.  I wish and wonder, if I can actually print a card or stickers with this.

Some nights it keeps me up. Some nights it wakes me up. I am serious.

The other night I kept having a dream about choosing fabric for a quilt. I couldn’t decide! There are way to many choices. I kept having the same scenario play over and over of trying to choose fabric. Until I woke up, at 4:30am! I couldn’t go back to sleep. It was time to go online window shopping.
I used to get my fix from True Up. I am so sad Kim Kight doesn’t blog anymore. Although I love her line with Cotton and Steel as much as I love her blog so it evens out.
Another way I get my fix is following some new people on Instagram

I am pretty sure I found Alexouq on Instagram after Cotton and Steel re-posted one of her projects. I decided to check out her feed and…
